Unilode Aviation Solutions (Unilode) has has signed a partnership agreement with Vietnamese low-cost airline Vietjet Air to provide a fully integrated unit load device (ULD) management solution, combining global pooling, digital asset tracking and maintenance support.

The agreement is designed to support Vietjet Air’s expanding operations by improving ULD availability, operational efficiency and asset visibility while providing access to Unilode’s global ULD network.

Under the partnership, Vietjet Air will utilise Unilode’s ULD pooling network to ensure equipment is available where and when it is needed, helping to reduce asset imbalances while optimising utilisation and lowering operating costs.

Unilode will also deliver 24/7 ULD management services and MRO support through its worldwide network of certified repair stations. The company said repairing ULDs closer to where damage occurs will minimise unnecessary repositioning, reduce carbon emissions and maximise aircraft payload availability.

In addition, Vietjet Air will gain access to Unilode’s digital portfolio, including its Customer Portal, eULD mobile application and real-time tracking technology, providing enhanced visibility of ULD assets, operational insights and streamlined workflows to support faster decision-making and improved ground handling performance.

Mohammed Akhlaq, chief commercial officer of Unilode, said: “We are proud to partner with Vietjet as they continue their impressive growth journey. By combining our global ULD network, advanced digital solutions, and extensive MRO capabilities, we will help deliver greater operational efficiency, enhanced asset visibility, and more sustainable ULD management solutions, ensuring Vietjet is well-positioned for continued success.”
