Back in June a YouTuber named Nonstop Dan took it upon himself to review the first class offering on Kuwait Airways.
Predictably for a carrier based in a part of the world where freedom of speech is not a given, even when talking about a product or service, the airline’s purser threw a fit when Dan refused to delete the footage of a suite.
The fallout caused a minor international incident, with the police involved and (eventually) a grovelling letter from the airline’s CEO and a further apology from a member of the country’s ruling family.
While a diplomatic fallout over a review of what looked (to me) like a standard suite for this class, what interested me was the content of the review.
