BermudAir, Bermuda’s flag carrier airline, has partnered with German-based global distribution provider, Hahnair, to expand its international network and facilitate travel bookings on behalf of travel trade partners.
With the new collaboration, BermudAir has gained access to Hahnair’s expansive portfolio of 100,000 travel consultants across 190 markets worldwide and already has flights available for booking on its system.
Leslie Peden, senior vice president of sales and distribution at BermudAir, said: “By aligning with Hahnair, a widely respected distribution leader, we are strengthening our presence in the U.S. and Canada, while also expanding our global accessibility. This initiative ensures that travel advisors, OTAs, TMCs, and corporate clients can easily do business with us, reinforcing our mission to offer seamless travel experiences to and from Bermuda.”
The airline currently operates a fleet of Embraer E175 and E190 aircraft, which fly year-round from Bermuda to seven airports across the U.S. and Canada.
It has plans to expand further with three new routes beginning in April to Charleston (CHS) and Raleigh-Durham (RDU) airports in North Carolina, as well as Bradley Hartford (BDL) in Connecticut. Pending regulatory approval, it will also begin flights to another three airports between the end of May and early July this year.
The new partnership with Hahnair is expected to help the growing airline integrate itself further in the global market with its network of over 350 airlines, as well as strengthen Hahnairs’ ties in the region.
Adriana C. Carrelli, vice president of airline business at Hahnair, said: “BermudAir offers exceptional travel experiences, connecting the East Coasts of the U.S. and Canada with Bermuda. We are happy to make their flights available to travel agents worldwide and to support BermudAir in their journey of growth.”
