Etihad Airways has announced the debut of its upgraded digital platform, which aims to create a more efficient and personalised user experience for customers with its new features.

The redesigned platform will be available online through the airline’s website or as a mobile app, on both Android and IOS devices, serving as a digital assistant for passengers and making flying a more self-service experience across Etihad’s international network.

“At Etihad, we are constantly evolving and innovating the digital experience in line with customer preferences and industry trends,” said Etihad’s chief digital officer, Frank Meyer.

The new mobile app and website will feature an improved seat map, easier access to boarding passes, real-time gate updates, baggage status, and access to all travel extras right from the check-in page.

Those that form part of the guest loyalty program will also be able to manage their memberships directly from the platforms, and all travellers will have direct access to book an Abu Dhabi stopover with complimentary hotel stays, available exclusively on the platforms.

Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer for Etihad, said: “We’ve completely redesigned the digital experience ensuring that our guests enjoy engaging with us from the very first touch of a screen until reaching their destination and beyond.”
