Menzies Aviation awarded ISO 27001 certification for information security
Leading ground service provider for airports and airlines, Menzies Aviation, has received ISO/IEC 27001 certification, which is the global standard for information security management systems (ISMS).
The accreditation, awarded by the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), highlights Menzies’ commitment to maintaining and providing high standards of data security.
The certification came following a successful audit process that covered a range of Menzies’ services and locations around the world. It confirms that the service provider has implemented effective ISMS that aligns with the confidentiality, information integrity, and availability of data principles demanded by the ISO/IEC 27001.
In addition to the ISO/IEC 27001, the company has also received ISO/IEC 20000-1, the international standard for IT Service Management Systems, while Menzies’ Middle East, Asia, and Africa divisions secured ISO 22301, which recognises high standards of business continuity.

Menzies Aviation has become the largest aviation services group in the world, with operations across six continents at more than 300 airports, and serves over 4.5. million flights a year as well as handling 2.5 million tonnes of cargo.
Its ground services include passenger, lounge, and ramp services, while its air cargo services include handling, warehousing, and wholesale freight forwarding. It also provides fuel farm management and into-plane fuelling services.
