Travel technology solutions company, Retailaer, has appointed ex-SITA employee, Robert Bailey, to its advisory board, leveraging his decades of experience in the aviation world to support the company’s growth ambitions.

Bailey’s career has spanned over 35 years, previously working for SITA, a leading aviation technology firm, and Travelport, one of the major global distribution systems (GDS) providers, as well as Galileo, Abacus, and WNS.

In his new role, which he began on March 1, Bailey will provide counsel on product development, market expansion, and partnerships, as well as other aspects of the business.

Retailaer is an innovative Offer and Order Management (OOM) system designed for dynamic and intelligent retailing. Its Connect platform is a seamless technology that enables airlines to retail to their customers without having to make changes to their operational passenger service systems or business processes.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) plans to roll out the OOM as the next generation of retail technology in the aviation sector.

Bailey’s addition to the board will provide Retailaer with important insight into the industry, aiding it in its mission to revolutionise customer and airline interactions, and reduce risks of implementing retailing capabilities on airline’s passenger service system.
