TPConnects integrates LIFT on Iris platform, expands presence in South Africa
Global travel technology company, TPConnects Technologies, has announced the integration of South African domestic airline, LIFT, to its Iris platform.
This new agreement will strengthen TPConnects’ presence in the South African market and make LIFT’s content available to Flight Centre Travel Group’s (FCTG) corporate and leisure customers, offering a wider range of retailing and travel options.
The Iris platform brings together diverse content sources, including low-cost carrier (LCC), new distributing capability (NDC), and EDIFACT content onto a single interface.
This facilitates booking and servicing of air content and enables travel sellers to offer clients better fares and products, as the integration will provide access to LIFT’s complete range of fare families.
Cilliers Jordaan, chief commercial officer of LIFT, said of the deal: “We are excited to partner with TPConnects to enhance our distribution capabilities to Flight Centre Travel Group and provide a more seamless and efficient booking experience. This collaboration underscores our commitment to continued improvement of service and support to our valued partners.”
Eric Dumas, chief executive of TPConnects, added: “By bringing LIFT’s content onto Iris, we’re significantly expanding our reach in the South African market while enabling seamless access for travel businesses across both corporate and leisure sectors. This integration represents our strategic focus on growing our footprint in key African markets.”
General manager of supply and distribution at Flight Centre Travel Group, Sue Garret, also commented: “Through this integration, we’re expanding the travel choices available to our South African customers. This not only diversifies our product offering but also reinforces our dedication to the South African market, where we continue to invest in delivering exceptional value and service to both our corporate and leisure travellers.”
