WAF 2026: Airlines invited to sign up to Retailaer Early Access Programme

Airlines have been invited to run controlled pilots of retailing technology developed by Retailaer developed to improve revenue opportunities without a full IT rebuild.

The UK-based tech provider exhibited at last week’s World Aviation Festival in Lisbon where it opened its Early Access Programme to airlines globally.

The programme lets qualifying airlines run new retailing capabilities in controlled pilots and measure the revenue effect in their own environment.

It is open now to airlines on a traditional PSS that want to grow ancillary revenue and convert more core seat revenue without waiting on a long PSS roadmap.

Retailaer says its ‘middleware’ technology upgrades the core PSS use case by use case, so airlines can innovate and experiment iteratively, track the uplift and expand where it pays off.

Anders Lofgrenm, founder and chief executive of Retailaer, said: “At the centre of our Early Access Program is the airline’s wish to test and experiment with third-party content.

“So we agree up front what success looks like and run one use case on the airline’s own data. The result decided the next step. “The future of airline retailing lies in the adaptability, agility, speed to market and true partner enablement.”

Six use cases are open for early access:

  • Group Booking Automation – end to end group bookings self-service to convert
  • Vouchers & Gift Cards – Keeping cash in the ecosystem
  • Sharing Payments – one order split across several payers and payment methods
  • Manage My Booking – self-service changes and add-ons on the same live order
  • Wallets – refunds and cashback stored for the next trip
  • MCP (Model Context Protocol) – AI assistants search, book and change trips under the airline's rules

The programme is open to a small number of airlines. Interested airlines can apply now on the Retailaer website.
