AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings has officially opened its new colour blending and distribution facility in Chonburi, Thailand, close to Bangkok International Airport.

The company said it marks a significant step in strengthening support for commercial aviation operators, MROs, OEMs and industry partners across the Asia-Pacific region.

The new facility has been created to provide locally blended and in-stocked coating solutions tailored to individual customer requirements, while improving product availability and supporting growth in the region.

From the Chonburi site, AkzoNobel will offer local blending of aerospace topcoats alongside streamlined access to primers, thinners and curing solutions; helping to reduce lead times and strengthening technical and commercial support for customers across the region.

Marius Vasiliu, regional sales director of AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings Asia Pacific, said: “The new opening of our Chonburi facility is an important milestone as we look to support commercial aviation operators, MROs, OEMs, and industry partners across the region.
