GetJet Group is planning to invest approximately €25 million in a new MRO hangar at Vilnius International Airport as it expands its aircraft maintenance capabilities.
Its subsidiary Airhub Aviation has secured the right to lease an 11,200 sqm plot at the Lithuanian airport for 40 years following a land lease auction organised by Lithuanian Airports.
The new facility is expected to create more than 100 jobs and forms part of GetJet Group's strategy to increase its in-house MRO capacity and technical independence.
Darius Viltrakis, chief executive of GetJet Group, said: “The new facility is an important step in advancing GetJet Group’s long-term growth strategy to build a more efficient and fully integrated group.
“Expanding our MRO capabilities is one of our key strategic priorities, strengthening our technical independence, increasing operational flexibility, and enabling us to provide a broader range of services to our global aviation partners.”
The newly secured site is adjacent to a 4,700 sqm plot already held by GetJet Group under a long-term lease agreement.
The group is investing approximately €10 million between 2025 and 2029 in the construction of an additional hangar at that location.
Inga Duglas, chief executive of GetJet Airlines, said: “Developing our own MRO infrastructure is a major step towards strengthening our ability to support our fleet independently while increasing the control, flexibility, and efficiency required in the ACMI and aviation asset management businesses.

GetJet Group already has MRO operations through Airhub Aviation's hangar at Šiauliai International Airport, which the company said is operating at full capacity after two years of operations.
Viltrakis said: “Although we have been operating for only two years, the facility is already running at full capacity and serving world-class aviation companies.
“This further demonstrates Šiauliai’s potential to become one of the region’s leading aircraft maintenance hubs.”
Across its hangar operations at Vilnius and Šiauliai airports, GetJet Group plans to create approximately 200 aviation jobs in the coming years.
Roles will include aircraft maintenance engineers, avionics specialists, technicians and engine maintenance professionals, alongside positions in planning, quality control and logistics.
Gintarė Norvilaitė-Tautevičė, acting-chief executive of Lithuanian Airports, said the investment would contribute to Lithuania's growing MRO sector.
“Projects like this create long-term value by strengthening the MRO ecosystem and enhance the competitiveness of Lithuania’s aviation sector,” she said.
The land lease project underwent a national security review before the agreement was signed.
Lithuania's Commission for Coordination of Protection of Objects of Importance to Ensuring National Security confirmed in March 2025 that GetJet Group met the country's national security requirements.
