Lufthansa Technik has expanded its Cyclean Engine Wash solution across Europe through a new partnership with ACC Columbia Jet Service.
Since August, ACC Columbia Jet Service has been providing on-site engine core wash services for commercial aircraft as an authorised service partner at various European locations.
Lufthansa Technik will continue managing marketing and order processing, while ACC Columbia Jet Service will perform the washes using certified mobile teams in Germany and across Europe.
The collaboration gives operators greater access to efficient engine washes for both narrowbody and widebody aircraft. Cyclean Engine Wash is now available at more than 60 locations worldwide.
Florian Prinz, head of engine life cycle services at Lufthansa Technik, said: “We are collaborating with ACC Columbia Jet Service to strengthen our network and expand our service offer for Cyclean engine washes in Europe. This development will benefit airlines operating in the region by providing easy access to efficient engine washes using our advanced system.”
Marlon Asthalter, base maintenance manager at ACC Columbia Jet Service, added: “We are excited to join forces with Lufthansa Technik as a Cyclean Engine Wash partner. This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable solutions in aircraft maintenance, whether in business or commercial aviation. We see this as an important step in expanding sustainable maintenance services throughout Europe, and we look forward to growing this partnership in the years to come.”
Cyclean technology is designed to improve engine performance and reduce fuel consumption. The system cuts water use by 50% compared with traditional washing, completes washes in under 45 minutes, and eliminates the need for post-wash engine run-ups – making it both cost-efficient and environmentally conscious.
