Aircalin has selected Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS) to support its incoming A350-900 fleet, marking the first A350 FHS agreement with an airline in the Pacific region.
The New Caledonian flag carrier has two A350-900s on order, with the first scheduled for delivery at the end of 2026. The aircraft will become Aircalin’s new flagship and operate long-haul services to Paris.
Under the long-term power-by-the-hour (PBH) agreement, Airbus will provide integrated component services covering on-site stock, access to component pools and repair services.
Aircalin will also gain access to Airbus’ component inventory, engineering and design expertise, supply chain capabilities and Skywise data analytics platform.
The agreement expands an existing FHS relationship between the two companies covering Aircalin’s A320 and A330neo fleets.
Eric Boucher, vice president of maintenance and engineering at Aircalin, said: “Airbus has been a key partner as Aircalin enters a new era. The A350-900 will be our new flagship, flying on our long-haul routes to Paris. We are enthusiastic about extending our current FHS partnership with Airbus to the A350-900 programme.”
Anand Stanley, president and head of region Asia-Pacific at Airbus, said the agreement builds on the companies’ existing FHS collaboration.
“We look forward to supporting them in maximising the full potential of their A350-900s and maintaining high operational and safety standards,” he added.
The news was announced during the Aviation Week MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 event in Singapore.
