AJW Group has expanded its partnership with Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) through a new six-year Power-by-the-Hour (PBH) agreement supporting the Vietnamese carrier’s growing Airbus A330 fleet.
The agreement comes as SPA begins introducing widebody aircraft to support its planned expansion into medium and long-haul markets across the Asia-Pacific region.
The first two A330s are due to enter service this month, with further aircraft to be added progressively and the fleet expected to reach up to 15 by 2030.
Under the agreement, AJW Group will provide comprehensive PBH support designed to ensure component availability throughout the A330 fleet’s induction and subsequent expansion.
The deal extends a partnership established earlier this year, when AJW signed a long-term PBH and Main Base Kit agreement covering SPA’s Airbus A320 family.
Scott Symington, chief commercial officer at AJW Group, said: “Supporting the introduction of a new widebody fleet requires careful planning, reliable logistics, and strong technical expertise, and we are proud to bring all three to this programme.
“Having already established support for the airline's A320 family earlier this year, this agreement is a natural next step in our relationship.”
Pham Dang Thanh, deputy chief executive at Sun PhuQuoc Airways, described the A330 introduction as a “defining step” in the airline’s ambition to connect Phu Quoc and Vietnam with international markets.
“As we scale our widebody operations, having the right technical partner is critical, not only to ensure reliable component support, but also to give us the confidence to expand our international network with pace and reliability,” he said.
The news was announced during the Aviation Week MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 event in Singapore.
