Safran Landing Systems has signed a new agreement with China Airlines covering landing gear overhaul support for the carrier’s fleet of 18 Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The agreement will run from 2026 to 2031 and covers the airline’s entire A350-900 fleet, including main landing gear overhaul services and associated technical support.
Maintenance will be carried out at Safran Landing Systems’ MRO facility in Singapore, drawing on the company’s OEM expertise and landing gear maintenance capabilities.
The latest contract expands an existing relationship between the two companies. China Airlines already uses Safran Landing Systems for landing gear maintenance on its Airbus A330 fleet, while fellow CAL Group carriers Tigerair Taiwan and Mandarin Airlines also work with the company on landing gear support.
Olivier Thomas, executive vice president of maintenance, repair and overhaul at Safran Landing Systems, said: “This contract reflects the confidence China Airlines places in our teams, our technical expertise and our ability to support critical fleet operations over the long term.
“As airlines increasingly seek not only repair capabilities but also direct access to OEM expertise, we look forward to supporting China Airlines throughout this next chapter of its Airbus A350 journey.”
The news was announced during the Aviation Week MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 event in Singapore.
