EASA Part-145 approved maintenance provider Nomad Technics has redelivered a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) to owner and operator Action Aviation following an extensive maintenance programme and cabin modernisation project at its Basel facilities.
The work package included a 12-year inspection, landing gear overhaul and installation of the Gogo Galileo FDX satellite communications system, making it one of the first such installations completed on a BBJ worldwide.
Alongside the heavy maintenance activities, the aircraft received a comprehensive interior refresh. Aero Visto re-upholstered all seats and divans in a bespoke design, while Simrick supplied a new carpet to give the cabin a renewed appearance.
The inflight entertainment system (IFE) was also upgraded with larger, higher-resolution monitors and an app-based video-on-demand streaming solution developed specifically for the client.
In addition, the aircraft received an app-controlled multicolour LED mood lighting system and a new app-based moving map system that can be viewed on both passengers’ personal devices and the cabin monitors.
Brigita Vildžiūnienė, director of sales at Nomad Technics, said: “The project was interesting and challenging to put together, but I think that’s something that made us win because the client saw how quickly and efficiently we can do things.
“Our responsiveness, honesty and transparency built trust with the customer and we carried that on throughout the project. They were involved in all the parts even in the quotation phrase. It was a collaborative effort.”
