TP Aerospace has signed an agreement with Croatia Airlines to provide wheel MRO services to their new fleet of Airbus A220s.

The service for Croatia’s flag carrier is planned to start in July and will mainly be provided from TP Aerospace’s new flagship facility in Brno, the Czech Republic.

Croatia Airlines is an existing programmes customer of TP Aerospace through an A320 Cycle-Flat-Rate programme, and this new A220 contract strengthens the relationship further.

TP Aerospace state that this additional agreement with Croatia Airlines means that it can expand its global capability with the addition of the A220 platform.

Tomislav Imprić, technical director at Croatia Airlines, said: “After five years of successful A320 wheel and brake maintenance through a CFR agreement, TP Aerospace has won a tender for A220 wheel maintenance for Croatia Airlines’ fleet.

“Croatia Airlines is looking forward with expectation to getting the same quality and service standard as we have on the current A320 agreement.

“That will help us with a smooth and safe start of operating the A220 as a new type of aircraft in Croatia Airlines’ fleet.

“Croatia Airlines plans to perform fleet transition and become a single type operator by 2027 with a fleet consisting of 15 A220 aircraft.”

Philip Hansen, global programmes director at TP Aerospace, said: “To have an existing programme customer sign an additional agreement with TP Aerospace is a testament to the service and quality we provide.

“Additionally, it is a testament to TP Aerospace’s continuous business growth and capabilities by adding additional platforms to our pool of service.”
