The new aircraft entered service on flights AI131/AI130 from July 1 and are the first Boeing 787s built specifically for Air India with line-fit cabin interiors installed during production.
The aircraft feature 30 Business Class suites, 28 Premium Economy seats and 238 Economy seats.
The deployment also marks the introduction of Premium Economy on the Mumbai to Heathrow route, expanding the airline’s three-class offering.
