All Panasonic Astova screens have achieved the Eyesafe Display Requirements 3.0 certification. The manufacturer says that it is the first IFE system to receive the voluntary, third-party certification for blue-light management and display performance criteria.
Growing awareness of digital eye strain is reshaping expectations for display technology, particularly in environments such as aircraft cabins where passengers spend extended periods viewing screens at close range. According to Eyesafe, blue light has been the subject of ongoing research relating to eye comfort, visual experience, and circadian impacts.
