IAG Cargo adds third daily Heathrow-Delhi service as India demand grows
IAG Cargo is adding a third daily service between London Heathrow and Delhi from September 19, increasing its UK-India network to 70 weekly services as cargo demand continues to grow.
The year-round service will be operated by British Airways using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner and forms part of a broader expansion of IAG Cargo’s India network.
With the additional Delhi flight, the carrier will operate three daily services to both Delhi and Mumbai, alongside increased frequencies to Bengaluru.
The expansion raises weekly services between London Heathrow and India to 70, compared with 56 in 2025.
The capacity increase comes as IAG Cargo reports strong demand on the Delhi route. Between January and May 2026, outbound cargo volumes from Delhi rose by 12.6% year on year, while inbound volumes increased by 14.4%.
The move also follows the implementation of the UK-India Free Trade Agreement on July 15, which is expected to stimulate trade between the two countries and increase demand for air freight.

“The introduction of a third daily London Heathrow-Delhi service, alongside recent capacity increases across our India network, provides customers with greater capacity and stronger connections through London Heathrow.”
The expanded schedule will provide onward connections via Heathrow to destinations across Europe, North America, Latin America and the Middle East.
IAG Cargo said demand continues to be driven by shipments including pharmaceuticals, aerospace and automotive components, e-commerce, garments and seasonal perishables.
According to WorldACD data, Indian export volumes increased by 5% between January and May 2026 compared with the same period last year.
