AAR Corp has announced that Thai Airways has selected digital maintenance solutions from Trax and Aerostrat as part of a wide-ranging programme to modernise its MRO operations.
Under the agreement, Thai Airways will implement Trax’s eMRO enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, alongside its suite of eMobility applications and cloud hosting services.
The digital ecosystem is designed to modernise the airline’s MRO processes, providing real-time access to data, streamlined workflows and enhanced decision-making capabilities across its global operations.
In parallel, the airline will deploy Aerostrat’s advanced maintenance planning solution, Aerros. The software will support long-range maintenance forecasting and optimisation, enabling Thai Airways to maximise fleet availability while improving cost efficiency across its maintenance programme.
The transformation will also include the rollout of proprietary artificial intelligence (AI)-powered solutions from both Trax and Aerostrat. These tools will support advanced planning, workflow automation and defect resolution assistance, helping maintenance teams respond more efficiently to operational challenges.
By combining digital solutions from Trax and Aerostrat, Thai Airways aims to add greater scalability, security and flexibility to its maintenance operations.
The move away from paper-based processes is expected to improve turnaround times while also reducing the airline’s environmental footprint.
Andrew Schmidt, senior vice president of AAR Digital Services and President of Trax, said: "Over the last three years, AAR has continued to invest in Trax and expand the product offering to include Aerostrat’s advanced maintenance planning software.
"We are excited our suite of products will help Thai Airways increase the airline’s productivity and reduce operational costs.”
Cherdphan Chotikhun, Thai Airways’ chief of technical, said: "Partnering with Trax is a game-changer for Thai Airways. The next generation of Trax and Aerostrat applications will not only elevate our existing airline operational performance but also enable us to establish a state-of-the-art MRO operation that meets global standards and sets new benchmarks for efficiency and quality.”
