Archer Aviation has launched a US flight test tour to advance operational integration and unveil charging network nodes for its Midnight electric aircraft.
The multi-state city-to-city flight demonstration tour in Northern California is part of the manufacturer's participation in the White House eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP) and targets operational readiness ahead of its commercial role at the LA28 Olympic Games.
The initial phase will deploy the four-passenger, piloted Midnight airframe across point-to-point regional routes, commencing with Hollister before expanding to Monterey, San Martin, San Jose, Oakland, and San Francisco.
The deployment follows more than 70 test flights conducted in August, which included a piloted roundtrip sector between Salinas Municipal Airport and Monterey Regional Airport. Subsequent operational phases are scheduled to expand flight activity into regional airspace across Los Angeles, Texas, and Florida.
