The new Cessna SkyCourier twin utility turboprop has been awarded type certification by the National Civil Aviation Authority of Brazil (ANAC), paving the way for the aircraft to serve the market in the Latin American country.

FedEx has been the SkyCourier's primary user since taking delivery of the first production models last year. The aircraft's USP is that it has a 19 seat interior which can be removed in an hour or so, allowing it to double as a cargo mover for three LD3 containers.

The aircraft's adaptability allows for transitions between different mission profiles, including passenger transport, cargo delivery and medical evacuations. With its short takeoff and landing capability, the aircraft can operate from smaller runways, reaching remote communities and serving locations with limited infrastructure. Additionally, a gravel kit option allows it to operate from unimproved runways.
