Jetstar and SriLankan Engineering sign B787 line maintenance deal

SriLankan Engineering has announced it has signed a long-term line maintenance agreement with Australian low-cost airline Jetstar for all its flights operating to Colombo (CMB), Sri Lanka.

On social media, SriLankan Engineering said the agreement "marks an important milestone in our continued commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality aircraft maintenance services to international partners from all corners of the world."

The aircraft that Jetstar will be operating for its flights into Sri Lanka is the Boeing B787.

SriLankan Engineering said the line maintenance services for Jetstar will be provided at Bandaranaike International Airport, helping ensure the airline’s B787 flights are "supported with the highest standards of technical expertise and operational excellence."

The partnership comes the milestone of SriLankan Engineering eventually obtaining the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) 145 Approval from Australia, which once obtained in the near future will enable SriLankan Engineering to provide full Certification Services to all Jetstar flights to Sri Lanka.
