HAECO has expanded its engine MRO partnership with Garuda Indonesia with a new agreement covering performance restoration shop visits (PRSVs) for three GE90 engines.
The work will be carried out by HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) through 2028, building on a relationship established in 2025 when Garuda Indonesia became HAECO’s first direct airline engine services customer in the Asia-Pacific region.
Since then, HAECO has completed two GE90 PRSVs and one quick turn for the Indonesian flag carrier, while a further two engines are currently undergoing PRSVs at its facilities.
The latest agreement adds another three GE90 PRSVs to the programme and further strengthens HAECO’s support for Garuda Indonesia’s engine maintenance requirements.
George Edmunds, group director components and engine services at HAECO, said: “The additional GE90 contract reflects the confidence Garuda places in our engine services capabilities and our ability to deliver high-quality maintenance solutions.

Mukhtaris, director of maintenance at Garuda Indonesia, said strengthening fleet readiness and delivering reliable flight operations remained a priority as part of the airline’s ongoing transformation.
He added that expanding the partnership with HAECO would support Garuda’s efforts to enhance operational reliability and provide a seamless service to passengers.
The news was announced during the Aviation Week MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 event in Singapore.
