Pem-Air has selected Ramco Aviation Software to support the digital transformation of its engine MRO and accessory repair operations.
The FAA and EASA-certified MRO provider will deploy the software as a single integrated platform connecting different stages of the engine shop visit, including maintenance planning, engine maintenance, supply chain, quality and compliance, engineering and finance.
The implementation comes as Pem-Air expands its engine capabilities to support larger platforms, including the GE90 and Trent 700, as well as newer-generation engines such as the CFM LEAP.
Ramco Anywhere mobile applications will provide technicians with digital task cards and electronic sign-offs as part of Pem-Air's move towards paperless operations.
The software will also support contracting and configuration management, work scoping and production planning, marshalling and kitting, technical publications and resource optimisation.
AI capabilities will form part of the deployment, including Ramco's Service Bulletin Agent, which uses data from service bulletins and airworthiness directives to support the creation of engineering orders.
Generative AI-based assistants will also allow users to review predefined reports and check operational status in real time, while the platform can recommend corrective actions for maintenance discrepancies based on previous resolutions.
Virgil Pizer, chief executive of Pem-Air, said: "As we scale our engine MRO capabilities, we needed a platform that could keep pace with that growth.
"Ramco stood out in our evaluation for its end-to-end lifecycle coverage, deep engine MRO expertise, and strong credibility in the US market.
"We built our name on quality and reliability, and we are confident that Ramco Aviation Software will enable us to continue exceeding what our customers expect from every repair."
Manoj Kumar Singh, chief customer officer - aviation, aerospace and defence at Ramco Systems, said: "We've built Ramco Aviation Software to meet the segment's evolving demands, and AI sits at the centre of that work, helping Pem-Air continue adding value to its customers by, for example, reducing turnaround times."
