Anthony graduated in 1984 with an honour’s degree in Physics from Paisley College in Scotland.
He took up a position with Ferranti Industrial Electronics, Dundee in the Optical Components Group, later Ferranti Astron, as a Test Engineer in the Diamond Turning and Vacuum Coating fields. He worked on null test design for aspheric lenses and diamond machining development.
Upon the closure of Ferranti in 1988, Anthony accepted a senior lecturer post in the Vocational Training Council in Hong Kong as programme leader in Optical Technology. He was responsible for validation of programmes with BTEC, CGLI and the HKIE in addition to developing a range of programmes to meet the needs of the local Optical Engineering and Ophthalmic Industries.
In 2016 Anthony joined the ASRC and is now head of the Materials, Data and Instrumentation Group.
His current interests are in non-contact and non-destructive metrology, spectroscopy and residual stress.
He is a director of the Hong Kong Optical Engineering Society and a member of both the Institute of Physics and the SPIE.

Tony Ramage Director - Origination & Trading (APAC), EirTrade Aviation
Tony has over 35 years’ experience in commercial aerospace, having previously worked for an OEM (British Aerospace), airline (Air New Zealand) and major operating lessor (BOC Aviation).
He is based in Singapore and is responsible for leading origination and trading activity for EirTrade throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with a key focus on acquiring mid- and later-life assets from both airlines and asset owners.
Tony holds a postgraduate degree from Loughborough University and has resided in the Asia-Pacific region for almost 30 years, which has provided a wealth of knowledge and insight in terms of airline operations.
William Cecil Director of Sales, FTG Aerospace
William started his career as an avionics engineer on Lynx and Gazelle helicopters, but has spent the last 25 years providing vision for avionics data and connectivity solutions, including data analytics applications that consume aircraft operational data onboard and on the ground.
He is a pioneer in the field of wireless data harvesting from aircraft. Long before big data and cloud analytics platforms became mainstream, William championed automated harvesting of full-flight data using cellular technology driven by airlines pushing for more reliable data for flight safety improvement.
At FTG Aerospace, William is now driving further innovation to serve airlines’ future needs with the use of 5G and SATCOM technologies, enabling a future-proof data infrastructure serving airline maintenance and operations.
Although he does not hold a pilot’s license, William has accumulated over three hours of personal flying time over many one-way descents from 12,000 ft as a free-fall sport parachutist.
William earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland in 1998.

Willi Prahl joined AVIATAR, a Lufthansa Technik brand, in 2019 and is currently Senior Manager Product Sales & Partner Integration for APAC. In this role, he is responsible for leading Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem sales projects, driving requirements engineering and managing successful implementations at airlines.
Before his role at AVIATAR, Willi held positions in B2B cloud computing firms, where he played a key role in designing and delivering scalable enterprise solutions.
