Riyadh Air has announced a collaboration with FlightPath3D to introduce a new inflight map platform for its future Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet.
The Saudi Arabian start-up carrier, due to begin operations in late 2025, says the immersive system will combine real-time flight data, interactive design, and destination storytelling to create a more engaging passenger experience.
The interface will allow travellers to track their journey with live updates on speed and altitude, explore their destination, and navigate Riyadh Air’s planned network through a visually rich, intuitive map.
Duncan Jackson, president of FlightPath3D, said: “Riyadh Air challenged us to reimagine what an inflight map could be. This collaboration delivers a solution both innovative and beautiful. Guests will enjoy an experience that informs and inspires, aligning perfectly with Riyadh Air’s forward-thinking approach.”
The airline said the partnership reflects its strategy of selecting “world-class solutions” to enhance the onboard experience as it prepares for launch.
