Recaro Aircraft Seating  is to collaborate with The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) in order to support an initiative known as the Experiential Learning in Emerging and Novel Technologies (ExLENT) plan, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

The project is designed as a long-term initiative, creating a link between academia and industry. As a local employer, Recaro will support the programme by contributing its expertise while also supporting ongoing program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.

A big part of the collaboration is direct engagement with students. Each semester, participating student groups will visit firm’s Fort Worth site to gain insight into aviation engineering and manufacturing processes. In addition, the seat manufacturer will host two interns per year as part of its summer internship program over the three-year project period.
