Avensis Aviation (Avensis) has evolved its current A330-200 and A330-300 MEDIUS Class E PTF to support and adapt to the needs of the express widebody cargo market.

MEDIUS EVO - the first-of-its-kind Passenger to E-Commerce Freighter (PTEF) - will enable operators to maximise their fleet and profitability without having to under-sell cargo capacity to ensure maximum payload.

Avensis announced the new conversion solution via a social media post on LinkedIn which read: “Like the MEDIUS product, the MEDIUS EVO is a fully reversible passenger to E-Commerce freighter solution with an STC for the Class E cargo compartment.

“Offering game-changing operational benefits, including halving loading times, MEDIUS EVO uses the same unit load device (ULD) aircraft operations ground equipment as all ‘door’ freighters.

“And it can be installed at any Avensis-approved MRO globally and, therefore, is not restricted to a set production line.”

The social post added: “As it’s an agile conversion, we aim to convert an aircraft to a full MEDIUS EVO within eight weeks (subject to the MRO, kit availability, and conversion sequence).”
