Diehl’s Dubai workshop to support Emirate’s A380 retrofit programme
Diehl Aviation and Emirates have signed an agreement to support the next phase of the Emirates A380 retrofit program.
To support Emirates and other regional customers even more efficiently, Diehl Aviation has expanded its presence in the Middle East with a new EASA Part 21G-approved workshop in the Dubai Airport Freezone, opened in early 2025. This setup enables local production, rework, and delivery of cabin components, offering shorter lead times and increased flexibility for ongoing programs such as the A380 retrofit.

The Dubai facility will also be directly involved in selected work packages of the next phase of the A380 retrofit program, providing on-site expertise with local manufacturing, assembling, and logistical support.
“Being awarded the next phase of the Emirates A380 retrofit is a strong vote of confidence and an important milestone for Diehl Aviation,” said Harald Mehring, Chief Customer Officer at Diehl Aviation.
“With our dedicated team and our new setup in the Dubai Airport Freezone, we are ideally positioned to support Emirates locally. This next phase underscores our commitment to long-term partnerships, operational excellence, and customer proximity in one of the world’s most dynamic aviation markets.”
