Philippine Airlines and sister carrier PAL Express have adopted paperless flight deck operations as part of their wider digital transformation strategy.

The airlines have announced they are deploying Conduce’s eTechLog8 Electronic Technical Logbook (eTLB), which is designed to support reliable data capture, 24/7 operational support and improved fleet oversight.

The technology is also expected to help the carriers improve turnaround times and strengthen operational resilience by moving technical logbook processes into a fully digital environment.

Capt. Roland Narciso, senior vice president for the operations group at Philippine Airlines, said: “The decision to utilise the eTechLog8 technology reflects the continued commitment towards service innovation and operational excellence.”

Paul Boyd, managing director at Conduce, said: “We are delighted to welcome Philippine Airlines and PAL Express to the eTechLog8 community. As a carrier with such a rich history and a strong focus on innovation, their decision to adopt eTechLog8 highlights their commitment to modernizing operations and embracing digital transformation. We look forward to supporting their teams as they transition to a fully electronic technical logbook.”

The companies said the partnership reflects Philippine Airlines and PAL Express’ focus on building more reliable and resilient operations, while advancing the shift towards digitally enabled processes.
