Bring-Your-Own-Device provider Moment has signed new onboard entertainment agreements with Air Caraïbes and Atlantic Airways, extending deployment of its Flymingo Box wireless IFE platform across eight aircraft.
Air Caraïbes will introduce the battery-powered solution on four ATR 72s operating regional Caribbean routes between destinations including Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France and Saint-Martin. Passengers will be able to access entertainment content through their own devices.
Atlantic Airways will equip four Airbus A320s with an aircraft-powered version of Flymingo Box. The installation will also include Moment's MOOD digital platform, which combines wireless entertainment, passenger services and engagement tools.
Content will be tailored to each carrier's market, with Air Caraïbes offering English and French programming, while Atlantic Airways will provide content in English, French, German, Spanish and Faroese. Libraries will include films, TV series, children's content, podcasts, games and digital publications.
"These partnerships underscore our ability to operate in complex environments while providing flexible entertainment solutions tailored to the realities of regional and island networks.” said Tanguy Morel, CEO and Co-founder of Moment.
The deals highlight continued demand for lightweight wireless IFE systems among regional and island operators, where traditional seatback installations can be difficult to justify on shorter sectors. For Air Caraïbes, the deployment marks the introduction of onboard entertainment on its inter-island ATR network, while Atlantic Airways continues its wider digitalisation programme.
