Embraer and Łukasiewicz-ILOT sign MoU for future flight technologies

Embraer and Polish research institute, Łukasiewicz-Institute of Aviation (ILOT), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to partner on new aircraft technology and materials.

The agreement was signed in Warsaw on March 11, by the acting director of Lukasiewicz-ILOT, Sylwester Wyka, and president and chief executive of Embraer, Francisco Gomes Neto.

Lukasiewicz-ILOT is a renowned European aviation research facility, and its collaboration with Embraer will enable the companies to concentrate efforts on research and development activities in the fields of materials, future flight technologies, aeronautical designs, and future maintenance processes.

Wyka said of the partnership: “This MoU marks the beginning of a technological bridge between Poland and South America. Through collaboration with Embraer, we are combining our expertise with a global industry leader to jointly develop cutting-edge aviation and materials technologies.”

“This partnership not only strengthens the position of Łukasiewicz- Institute of Aviation as a research hub but also highlights the importance of Polish engineering and science in shaping a safer, more efficient, and sustainable aerospace industry,” he said.

Gomes Neto also commented: “This agreement with Łukasiewicz–ILOT is a key part of our plan to deepen our 25-year engagement with the Polish aerospace ecosystem.

“Łukasiewicz–ILOT is a globally renowned research institute with expertise in critical technologies at the heart of the future aviation. We are proud to become Łukasiewicz–ILOT’s partners and look forward to the results that can be achieved together.”
