NTT DATA UK&I has announced a new partnership with easyJet, becoming the strategic supplier for quality engineering services as the airline group aims to achieve ambitious growth goals by boosting productivity across its operations.
To support these objectives, NTT DATA will implement a quality engineering strategy designed to enhance easyJet’s productivity and improve user experiences.
To enhance its operations and services, easyJet needed a dedicated quality engineering partner to drive innovation by increasing test automation, streamlining environments, and improving quality practices. The partnership with NTT DATA will enable easyJet to accelerate release cycles and improve cost efficiency.
NTT DATA UK&I is utilising its global network of quality assurance specialists, including more than 55 experts from its Quality Engineering Centre of Excellence in the UK, to support easyJet in implementing this new strategy.
As part of the collaboration, NTT DATA UK&I will provide advisory services and develop a technology roadmap to ensure efficient, built-in quality checks throughout the entire engineering lifecycle.
Richard Nettleship, vice president of operations and delivery for industry at NTT DATA UK&I, said: “We are proud to be delivering the quality engineering services for easyJet and this new deal demonstrates the strength of the relationship that we have built over the past year.
“By working collaboratively with easyJet, we will drive value and innovation, increase efficiency, and help simplify their current ecosystem through standardisation and alignment across ways of working, processes, and technologies.”
Simon Prior, head of quality engineering at easyJet, said: “Modernising our quality engineering practices is a top priority for our organisation so we needed to find a strategic partner to drive enhancements and efficiencies through innovation, automation, and a modern testing approach. We also wanted to make sure that we found a partner that was a cultural fit for our organisation.
“Quality engineering is a critical part of our business and NTT DATA UK&I emerged as the obvious choice to be our preferred supplier given the skills and experience it has in this area.
“We are pleased to have built a trusted strategic partnership with them over the past year and we look forward to continuing our work together over the next three years.”
