Spanish carrier, Vueling, was named the most punctual low-cost airline in the world for the month of February, according to Cirium’s report of ‘the most on-time airlines’.

The airline received a punctuality rate of 89.3% for the month, having operated more than 15,400 flights within the observed period and was ranked the fourth most punctual airline in Europe overall.

The report was compiled by Cirium, a London-based aviation analytics consulting firm with a long-established reputation within the industry and was performed by a board of independent advisors based on real-time data from more than 600 flights.

Vueling set a punctuality standard across the main airports in Spain throughout February, with rates of 91.6% in Barcelona, 92.2% in Seville, 92.8% in Palma De Mallorca, 86% in Malaga, 92.8% in  Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 90.3% in Tenerife North, and 92.9% at Santiago de Compostela.

The airline also achieved a punctuality rate of 86.7% at London Gatwick Airport.
