HAECO has announced two partnerships with Bauer and TESTFUCHS to expand its testing and repair capabilities for CFM International LEAP engine fuel system components.

Both agreements form part of HAECO's investment in next-generation engine component services as demand for LEAP maintenance support continues to grow.

Under its agreement with Bauer, HAECO will introduce customised test equipment designed to support the testing of critical LEAP fuel accessories.

The investment will strengthen HAECO's existing component services capabilities, enabling more efficient testing of fuel system components used across the LEAP engine family.

Meanwhile, a separate partnership with Austrian aerospace test systems specialist TESTFUCHS will see the companies jointly develop a proprietary LEAP Elite testing platform for Woodward fuel system components.

Scheduled to become fully operational in the first quarter of 2028, the platform will comprise two dedicated test stands designed to Woodward's specifications.

These will support testing of Fuel Metering Units (FMUs), Splitter Control Units (SCUs) and Servo Valve Assemblies (SVAs), ensuring repaired components meet OEM requirements before returning to service.

The TESTFUCHS partnership follows HAECO's signing of an Elite Licensed Repair Service Facility (LRSF) agreement with Woodward in July 2026, establishing the foundation for OEM-authorised LEAP component repairs in the Asia-Pacific region.

George Edmunds, group director components and engine services at HAECO, said the investments would help the company respond to increasing demand for next-generation engine maintenance.

"Investing in advanced testing capabilities is an important part of our strategy to strengthen our component services to support the growing LEAP engine fleet," he said, commenting on the Bauer agreement.

Regarding the TESTFUCHS collaboration, Edmunds said: "By combining Woodward’s OEM expertise, TESTFUCHS’ world-class testing technology and HAECO’s established component repair capabilities, we are creating a first-of-its-kind capability in the region and reinforcing our position as a first mover in OEM-authorised LEAP component repair services in Asia-Pacific."

Woodward's vice president of sales, marketing and service, John DiSilvestro, said the development would help bring OEM-authorised repair services closer to LEAP operators in the region.

The investments come as an increasing number of LEAP engines approach their first shop visits, driving demand for maintenance and repair of associated fuel system components.

Through the two partnerships, HAECO is positioning itself to capture a greater share of this expanding aftermarket while strengthening its component repair and testing capabilities.

The announcements were made during the MRO Europe 2026 event in Amsterdam.
