Air Dolomiti, the Italian regional subsidiary of Lufthansa Group, has signed an E-Jet component pool agreement with Embraer covering its 30-aircraft E-Jet fleet.
The deal secures exchange, repair and overhaul support for more than 300 components across multiple aircraft systems, intended to protect aircraft availability as the carrier expands its operations.
Under the agreement, Air Dolomiti has access to Embraer’s component pool logistics and services network rather than holding equivalent rotable inventory itself.
The manufacturer says the programme delivers savings on component repair and inventory holding costs, reduces warehousing requirements and operates under guaranteed performance levels.
The E-Jet component pool structure shifts part of the spares and repair burden from the operator to the OEM.
For regional carriers, this reduces the capital tied up in rotable stock and limits exposure to component repair turnaround times at a point when MRO capacity and parts availability remain constrained across the industry.
“Air Dolomiti has built a strong reputation for operational excellence, and we are proud to support the airline as it continues to expand its operations. Through our Pool Program, we provide access to a comprehensive logistics and services structure designed to maximize aircraft availability and deliver predictable support across its network. We thank Air Dolomiti for its trust in Embraer and look forward to strengthening our collaboration in the years ahead,” said Carlos Naufel, president and chief executive of Embraer Services & Support.
“We are pleased to further expand our collaboration with Embraer, a leading company in the aerospace sector. At a time of significant evolution for our airline, being able to rely on a longstanding, solid, and renowned partner like Embraer represents a valuable opportunity for us and an important step in our growth journey,” said Steffen Harbarth, chief executive of Air Dolomiti.
The companies did not disclose the financial value, duration or specific performance metrics of the contract.
