Eurowings Technik has broken ground on a new dedicated large-component warehouse in Niederkassel, Germany, as it prepares its logistics infrastructure for the introduction of Eurowings’ Boeing 737-8 MAX fleet and future fleet growth.

The facility is being developed and will be operated by AeroMates exclusively for Eurowings Technik. It is scheduled to enter service in February 2027.

The warehouse will provide additional storage capacity for large aircraft components, including flaps, radomes and engine cowls, complementing the company’s existing logistics network.

Alongside the new facility, the two companies have developed a bespoke warehouse and logistics concept focused on improving efficiency through optimised material flows, storage arrangements and logistics processes. The aim is to create a more cost-effective operation while supporting the airline’s expanding maintenance requirements.

The project forms part of Eurowings Technik’s preparations for Eurowings‘ transition to a two-fleet operation with the addition of the Boeing 737-8 MAX.
