GMF AeroAsia has completed C and D checks on a One Air Boeing 747-400F under UK Civil Aviation Authority approval.

The aircraft, G-UNET, is part of the Air One fleet and operated by One Air.

Air One operates 13 widebody freighters across three air operator certificates.

The maintenance programme included engine replacement, structural work carried out in accordance with the approved maintenance programme and a full livery repaint.

GMF AeroAsia said the scope required close coordination between its production and engineering teams.

Leigh Abbott, outsourced maintenance manager at One Air, said: “The overall experience was very positive. The GMF team's strong manpower support, particularly during the initial stage of the check, helped push the project forward and achieve an earlier completion than expected.

“The production and engineering teams have been very responsive, and every request or additional work package has been handled quickly.”

Abbott added that One Air would be “very happy to have our aircraft back here for future maintenance”.

GMF AeroAsia said: “As G-UNET returns to operations, our teams remain committed to delivering the same level of technical excellence and customer-focused support. We look forward to continuing our partnership for the journey ahead.”
