Pratt & Whitney Canada has signed a nearly five-year agreement with Emerald Airlines to provide comprehensive MRO services for the PW127M engines powering the airline’s ATR 72-600 fleet.

The contract, which runs through 2030, provides Emerald Airlines with long-term engine maintenance support and predictable operating costs.

Most maintenance work will be carried out at Pratt & Whitney Canada’s Singapore facility, supported by its Montreal site.

The PW100 engine family is designed for regional operations, offering lower fuel consumption and reduced CO2 emissions on shorter routes. The engines are also compatible with biofuels and certified to operate with up to a 50% blend of synthetic aviation fuel.

Established in 2021, Emerald Airlines serves as the exclusive operator of the Aer Lingus Regional route network, providing connectivity to/from Ireland, UK, and France.

The news was announced during this year’s Farnborough International Airshow.
