Independent aircraft component parts, repair and supply chain solutions provider, AJW Group, has promoted Wilmer Lopez to managing director – AJW Latin America.

Lopez has over 24 years of aviation experience and has been pivotal in leading the company’s growth in the region. He will continue to drive this success heading up AJW Group’s regional office in Mexico City.

Lopez said: “AJW Group is excited about the potential for growth in Latin America’s aviation and MRO sectors. My background in the airline industry and fluency in Spanish, English and Portuguese have been instrumental in strengthening relationships with our customers across the region.

“I’m proud that AJW has been consistently recognised by airlines as one of the top suppliers and MROs in recent years. With the establishment of our local office in Mexico, I am confident we will continue to contribute to the growth and development of the industry throughout Latin America.”

The announcement of Lopez’s promotion follows AJW Group‘s recent news that it has expanded its Power-by-the-Hour (PBH) contract with Brazilian cargo operator Modern Logistics.
