Etihad Cargo adds second weekly Paris freighter as French demand grows
Etihad Cargo has expanded its operations in France by introducing a second weekly freighter service to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), increasing capacity between Europe and key markets across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The additional flight has been launched in response to rising customer demand and is designed to provide greater flexibility for the transport of specialised and high-value cargo.
Paris remains a key gateway within Etihad Cargo’s global network, supporting pharmaceutical shipments through PharmaLife, perishables via FreshForward, equine transport through SkyStables and cultural logistics under its FlyCulture product, which serves museums and cultural institutions in Abu Dhabi and internationally.
Stanislas Brun, chief cargo officer at Etihad Airways, said: “France has long been an important market for Etihad Cargo. The introduction of a second weekly freighter service to Paris shows both the strength of customer demand and our long-term goals for the region.
“As trade flows continue to evolve, our customers need greater flexibility, additional capacity, and reliable access to global markets. By increasing our services to Paris, we are enhancing connectivity between Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, while further strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global logistics and multimodal cargo hub.”
Etihad Cargo said it has supported French trade for more than 20 years through its Abu Dhabi hub, connecting businesses in France with international markets.
In 2025, the carrier transported more than 26,000 tonnes of cargo to and from Paris. Its French network now comprises three daily passenger flights to Paris, two weekly freighter services to Charles de Gaulle Airport and a seasonal passenger service to Nice.
The airline said the expanded Paris schedule forms part of its continued investment in its European cargo network, enhancing connectivity and supporting resilient global supply chains.
