Costco Travel, a division of the global retailer Costco, has signed a new, multi-year deal with Travelport that will allow it to access the global technology company’s advanced insights and retail technology to provide members with better offers when planning trips.

Jason Toothman, chief commercial officer for Travelport, said: “Costco Travel is focused on delivering more value to its members by giving them more choice and better offers when planning their trips, and Travelport provides the seamless, modern travel retailing experience that their customers have come to expect.”

The technological integration will mean that Costco Travel customers will have expanded options for flights from a single platform, thanks to Travelport’s multi-source content aggregation features. It will also allow it to use the AI driven content-curation layer to give users better suggestions, and access to Travelport insights to improve its understanding of the market.

In turn, the partnership will ensure Travelport access to the multi-billion dollar company’s expansive membership community of 139 million customers.

“We’re focused on making it easy for consumers to pinpoint the best options based on their preferences,” said Toothman.
