BCT Aviation Maintenance has secured UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval to perform C Checks at intervals of up to 84 months on Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737 Classic and Next Generation aircraft.
The approval expands the company’s Part-145 base maintenance scope for the two narrowbody families, allowing it to undertake heavier checks associated with extended maintenance intervals.
BCT Aviation Maintenance said the additional capability is intended to give operators and lessors greater flexibility when planning maintenance, particularly for high-cycle aircraft where downtime and maintenance scheduling can have a significant impact on fleet availability.
The expanded scope covers structural maintenance, engineering oversight and maintenance planning, and follows investment by BCT Aviation Maintenance in personnel, tooling and reliability management processes.
