Embraer has signed a Component Pool Program agreement with Portugália Airlines, a TAP Group company operating under the TAP Express brand, to support its fleet of 19 E-Jets.

The agreement covers 12 E190s and seven E195s operating regional routes and will provide component support aimed at improving aircraft availability and operational efficiency.

Under the programme, Embraer will provide access to more than 300 aircraft components across multiple E-Jet systems, including exchange services, repairs and overhauls.

The agreement marks Portugália Airlines’ return to Embraer’s Pool Program following a period with an alternative supplier.

Mário Lobato de Faria, managing director of Portugália Airlines, said the airline had previously benefited from the programme for several decades, having helped establish it during the introduction of the Embraer ERJ145.

He highlighted the flexibility and partnership demonstrated by Embraer during the transition back to the programme.

Embraer’s Pool Program is designed to reduce component repair and inventory holding costs, minimise warehousing requirements and provide operators with guaranteed performance levels.

The agreement will support Portugália Airlines as it continues to develop its regional operations.
