FIA 2026: Embraer secures long-term E175 MRO extension with SkyWest
Embraer has secured a long-term extension to provide heavy maintenance support for SkyWest Airlines’ fleet of 271 E175 aircraft, expanding the scope of an existing agreement and increasing maintenance capacity in the US.
Announced at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow, the agreement will see heavy maintenance carried out at Embraer’s Services & Support facilities in Nashville, Tennessee; Macon, Georgia; and Fort Worth, Texas.
The extension broadens the existing maintenance programme to support SkyWest Airlines long-term fleet planning and operational requirements.

The announcement comes as Embraer continues to expand its US MRO footprint. The manufacturer is investing around US$70 million in a new commercial aviation MRO facility at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas, which is expected to become operational in 2027.
Once complete, the facility is expected to increase Embraer’s E-Jet maintenance capacity in the US by more than 50%.
The new site will complement Embraer’s existing operations at Alliance Airport, where services began in June 2025, and is intended to support growing demand for E-Jet maintenance across North America.
