Aerospace supply chain specialist FDH Aero and aerospace technology and manufacturing firm GKN Aerospace have announced the signing of a long-term supply agreement which aims to streamline supply chain operations and improve manufacturing efficiency.
Announced at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow, the agreement establishes a framework under which FDH Aero will supply GKN Aerospace with hardware, C-class commodities and value-added services.
The partnership is intended to support GKN Aerospace’s manufacturing activities through FDH Aero’s inventory capabilities and supply chain expertise.
The companies said the agreement also creates a foundation for expanding their relationship globally to support GKN Aerospace’s operational requirements in the years ahead.
Alex Halsey, global commodity manager for GKN Aerospace, said: “This supply agreement with FDH Aero marks an important step forward as we continue to optimise and strengthen our global supply chain.
“Establishing this foundational framework allows us to commit to growing our relationship globally, ensuring our facilities have the reliable, long-term support they need to meet the demands of the modern aerospace market.”
Fred Short, chief growth officer of FDH Hardware, said: “We are honoured to partner with a renowned industry leader like GKN Aerospace. This agreement reflects our shared vision for a more efficient and responsive aerospace supply chain. We look forward to building on this supply agreement and expanding our support for GKN Aerospace’s vital programs across the globe.”
