FIA 2026: ITP Aero secures 10-year Pratt & Whitney GTF component repair deal
Spanish aerospace components supplier ITP Aero has signed a 10-year agreement with Pratt & Whitney to provide advanced repair services for key components on PW1500G and PW1900G geared turbofan (GTF) engines, further expanding its role in the engine manufacturer’s global aftermarket network.
Under the agreement, which was announced at this week’s Farnborough International Airshow, ITP Aero will carry out repairs at its Ajalvir facility near Madrid, supporting the global in-service fleet.
The contract covers full repair capability for the Inner Diffuser Case Assembly and the HPT 1st Stage Cooling Air Duct Assembly (TOBI).
Industrialisation activities are expected to conclude in 2027, with repair operations ramping up through 2027 and 2028 in line with fleet demand.
ITP Aero said the agreement strengthens its position within Pratt & Whitney’s GTF ecosystem. The company is a risk and revenue sharing partner in the GTF programme and joined Pratt & Whitney’s global GTF MRO network in June 2025. Its Ajalvir facility is also preparing to offer full MRO services and engine testing for PW1500G and PW1900G engines, with the first engine induction scheduled for early 2027.
The latest agreement expands ITP Aero’s component repair capabilities across multiple engine platforms and supports growing aftermarket demand as the global GTF fleet matures.
