Safran Landing Systems and Lufthansa Technik have signed a 10-year support agreement covering Airbus A320 family, A330, A340 and A350 landing gear and hydraulic equipment, strengthening the MRO provider’s access to OEM expertise across its global maintenance network.

The Support and Services Agreement (SSA), announced at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow, follows several years of collaboration between the companies and is designed to support both current and future maintenance requirements.

Under the agreement, Safran Landing Systems will provide Lufthansa Technik with certified spare parts, technical and engineering support, and access to the latest maintenance documentation for the covered Airbus programmes.

The companies will also work together to optimise maintenance planning, improve component repair capabilities and strengthen operational continuity across Lufthansa Technik’s worldwide landing gear network.

A key element of the agreement is support for Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services UK’s expanding A350 maintenance activities in London. The partnership will give the facility direct access to Safran Landing Systems’ latest technical data and OEM-approved repair solutions.

The SSA also ensures continued OEM support for A320 family, A330 and A340 landing gear maintenance carried out at Lufthansa Technik’s Hamburg facilities.
